Secret Network mints 1.079B SCRT, diluting holders by 75% after lead developer exits
Secret Network executed a 1.079 billion-SCRT mint through its v1.26.0-community-continuance upgrade on Aug. 21 after Proposal 365 passed. The one-time mint expands total SCRT supply to about 1.44 billion, reducing existing holders' collective share to roughly one quarter. This is a drastic tokenomics event for a Layer 1 network whose main development team, SCRT Labs, ends support on Sept. 1. The mint funds community-led continuity programs, so the long-term survival of Secret Network now depends on whether validators and community backers can sustain development and infrastructure. The mint allocated 299 million SCRT each to foundation and core-development programs, 178 million to an ecosystem fund, and 72 million each to advisors, R&D, and validators; 308.4 million SCRT became liquid on day one, with ongoing inflation set at 5%. Existing holders' absolute balances did not change, but their proportional ownership fell to about 25% of the new supply.

Binance to Delist ICX, SCRT, and STORJ in September 2026
Binance announced it will delist and cease trading for all spot trading pairs of ICON (ICX), Secret (SCRT), and Storj (STORJ) on September 3, 2026 at 03:00 UTC. The exchange cited its latest reviews for the decision. Binance is the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, so delisting removes a major source of liquidity and trading access for these tokens. This could heighten selling pressure and make it harder for holders to trade or exit positions, and it may also signal compliance or project-health concerns. The delisting applies to all spot trading pairs for the three tokens and takes effect on 2026-09-03. Each token has been under pressure: ICX is trading around $0.016–0.017, SCRT around €0.18, and STORJ around $0.04 with relatively thin volumes.
